An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly skilled Arable Operative to join a progressive, forward Estate in Buckinghamshire. The Estate encompasses 4500 acres with grass parks, woodland and over 3500 acres of arable land. The Estate is also home to a National Trust house and gardens open to the public during the Summer months attracting 45,000 visitors each year.
Working with a small team and harvest staff main responsibilities may include operating a large combine, self propelled sprayer and cultivations where required. Good workshop skills and capability of maintaining and operating large modern machinery and GPS equipment is a necessity with a keen eye for detail and pride in your work.
Reporting to the Farm Manager, the chosen candidate will be an excellent communicator, flexible and willing to work individually and part of a team. New farming technology is being introduced so embracing this would be greatly received. A small element of record keeping will be required so good written and presentation skills are essential to the role.
A full clean driving licence, PA 1 and 2, forklift tickets are essential with further on-going training available to the right candidate.
Salary will be commensurate with experience including a pension scheme, healthcare and accommodation if required.
