Description

We are looking for someone experienced in calving and follow on care of cows to join our team at Drumbreddan, predominantly to look after cattle and young calves amongst other jobs. We run 350 suckler cows alongside 1100 ewes with 300ac of spring barley grown for home use each year. All cattle are taken right through to finish on farm so any applicant should ideally be interested in the performance and maximising potential within the herd. All cows are block calved in 7 week periods, 3 times a year, to Limousin and Charolais sires. Outwith calving and cattle care, day to day work would include general farm work, some tractor work as own silage and harvest are done. Sheep work would be minimal apart from key jobs, Clipping, Marking, etc. experience with this would be useful but not essential.

Applicants ideally should be able to work under own initiative or as part of a team
