Experienced Stockperson and Estate Maintenance Role

About Us:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to lead our Organic farm, spanning 240 acres and specializing in Longhorn cattle. Our farm is committed to regenerative practices, and we are looking for an experienced professional to manage a 50-cow suckler herd in alignment with these principles.

Stockmanship Responsibilities:

Oversee the management of a Longhorn cattle herd, ensuring their welfare and adherence to regenerative farming practices,

Implement and enhance regenerative agriculture techniques to promote land health and biodiversity is our focus.

Implementation of stewardship schemes and providing evidence to support annual claims.

Estate Maintenance & Groundscare Responsibilities:

Undertake comprehensive estate maintenance, including grass cutting, strimming, mowing, repairing fences, and tree cutting (if fallen in a storm), to preserve the beauty and functionality of the 240-acre property

Manage general farm duties, contributing to the overall upkeep of the farm, including groundscare activities, lawn care, and maintenance of on-site grounds.

Utilise and maintain strimmers, mowers and other equipment

Perform a selection of other tasks to ensure the estate remains in optimal condition

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience in stockmanship, specifically in managing cattle herds

Positive and proactive attitude, with a commitment to overcoming challenges

Skills in estate maintenance, including lawn care and general estate tasks, will be looked upon favorably
