We are looking to recruit Field Trial Technicians, to work in plant variety trials from early June to end of August 2022. The roles will involve sample collection, measuring plant characteristics in the field and via image analysis, and a range of other practical tasks. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in agricultural field crops/plot trials, while developing professional skills in team working, time management and practical problem solving.

Applicants will need to demonstrate an interest in agriculture/plant sciences and be willing to learn, with full training provided throughout the season.  A good eye for detail is also essential, along with the ability to follow strict protocols. Applicants will also need to demonstrate good communication skills, both verbally and written, with the ability to work as part of a team. The work can be physically demanding, and will entail spending substantial periods working outdoors, in all weather conditions.

The roles are Cambridge based, but there may be a requirement to work at off-site trials. A full driving licence is desirable, but not essential.

Contract lengths can be negotiable depending on availability. 

Salary £19,048 per annum
