We are a family run business growing combinable crops, finishing beef cattle, a farm shop and feed manufacturing/grain storage & cleaning in Lancashire.

We are looking for an experienced individual to be the main operator of the NH CR9090 combine, Bateman RB35 sprayer and drilling with a JD750a. weaving sabre on new Case tractors. All equipment is modern, well maintained and equipped with GPS. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic with a can do attitude, look at the position with a long term view, can expect to be valued and be able to have an input on decision making.

As a business we grow wheat, barley, osr & beans with the aim of fully converting to zero till in the next few years. Beef finishing cattle all go into the farm shop. The grain stores are equipped with grain cleaner and optical sorter. We are UFAS registered and part of our operation is mixing grain into feed.

Excellent working conditions and facilities are provided. Interested applicants must take pride in keeping the farm & machinery clean, tidy and well maintained without being asked. Brushes, grease guns and pressure washer are amongst other things in a well equipped workshop.

The role will also involve all other aspects of farm work, hedge cutting, etc and operating telehandlers in the grain side of the business.

Some stock work would be involved (feeding, bedding & weighing cattle).

Telehandler, forklift and excavator certificates preferable but not essential.

Start date is flexible around successful applicants current commitments.
