A great opportunity to run an innovative 240-acre livestock farm in the Cotswolds which delivers quality meat direct to local trade. The Livestock Farm supplies beef and lamb direct to local pubs and butchers. We have 40 Aberdeen Angus cattle and 350 Ewes with 90% farmed outdoors. If you have experience in best practise livestock farming and have the following skills, a great strong work ethic and would like to live on the Estate in a fully expenses paid two-bedroom stone cottage with a competitive salary please do not hesitate to apply.

•Excellent knowledge of state-of-the-art animal genetics, husbandry and forage optimisation

•Animal Husbandry for 40 AA Cattle & 350 outdoor Ewes

•Tractor work will include grassland husbandry, spreading, haymaking and spraying (PA1 + 6 an advantage)

•Computer literate and able to submit farm paperwork and applications, animal data recording, schedule and run a meat order book with a delivery diary

•Drive animals to the abattoir

•Collect and deliver meat to pubs

•Estate work such as fencing, stone walling, hedge laying, boundary, and gateway maintenance. Having gates that

open easily is a must

•Can control weeds with spraying and chipping thistles by hand (zero weed policy)

•Muck out 2 horse stables and care for 2 happy hackers and 2 goats (Domestics)

•We need a person who takes pride in their work and genuinely cares and knows that farming is a way of life and not

just a job

•You must have a strong work ethic and happy to put in the hours to get the job done

•Happy to diversify and assist with occasional main Household duties to support other staff members (Changing light

bulbs, filling wood baskets, heavy lifting, and occasional driving)
