Head Herdsperson -Robotic Grass Based - Warwickshire

We have a grass based dairy herd milking 140 cows plus followers on a highly invested unit:

• Full concrete roadways to every hectare paddock


• New cubicles and mats in 2021


• Robotic Scraper


• 2 x Lely A5 milking robots with a third being added this autumn


• Heat detection and rumination collars


• Bedding is done via a Bobman


• Electric foot trimming crush


• Premium Arla constituents contract

Calving is done with the majority of the cows calving in the autumn and a handful in the spring, Purpose built calf rearing shed with auto drinkers makes the rearing experience very enjoyable.

We are now seeking a full-time herdsman.

You will be solely responsible for full day to day running of the dairy and grassland management and be in charge of making sure the robots run smoothly at all times.

You will be capable of working on your own initiative, keeping the farm and stock up to a high standard. Foot trimming experience and AIwould be preferred. Can do attitude is needed.

Every other Weekend off and holidays will be covered as well as extra help provided during calving when needed.
