We are a mixed farm in South Worcestershire near the Malvern Hills, milking 260 AYR calving cows housed in our 2016 green field dairy unit. They are milked through a 24:24 Herringbone parlour and we rear all of our own youngstock and carry out DIY AI. This is a new position for a motivated herdperson to work alongside the herd owners and be responsible for the day to day management of the cows. Duties would include milking, AI and sire selection, footrimming (alongside our contract foot trimmer), transition management and other stock duties as required. There will also be access to further training. We expect applicants to enjoy cows, have excellent time-keeping, be reliable and honest, a good communicator and to possess both a good sense of humour and work ethic. We also aim to treat our staff as part of the family. The successful candidate will be expected to come in and help take our performance to the next level and help fulfil the full potential of our herd. Accommodation on farm in 3 bedroom house. Great local schools, parks and shops are 2.5 miles away. We are well connected 2 miles from motorway.

Current performance is SCC- 160, Bactoscan-9, Replacement Rate -30%, Preg Rate 24%, Yield - 9,800 litres.
