General Farm Worker, Full-Time, for Dairy Farm in North Gloucestershire 6miles from Cheltenham

We are a family farm with friendly staff, currently achieving excellent results and we are looking for someone who can maintain this. Applicants must enjoy working with animals and will be expected to take on all responsibilities associated with a modern dairy unit.

260 dairy cows, 200 followers, tmr fed, grazing for 8 mths, cubicle housed. Modern parlour fitted 3 years ago, Fullwood 14/28. We do our own grass silaging and basic field operations.

Tasks include the following, and we operate a rotation so everyone does a bit of everything:

• Tractor work


• Milking on a rota system


• Feeding


• Calf rearing


• Loader driver and tractor/trailer work

Experience with dairy cows is preferred but not essential ( full training would be given)

Regular time off and every other weekend.

Non smoker essential.

Job can start date negotiable ,but within 10 weeks.
