This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a progressive dairy team working with a high yielding holstein herd on a TMR all year round calving system.

We are looking for a reliable, self motivated person to take charge of the cleaning, bedding and feeding of the herd. Attention to detail is essential as is the ability to work as part of a bigger team, with a view to maintaining high health and welfare standards. The feeding role is central and we are looking for someone who can both follow clear protocols, but also use their initiative to best manage the feeds.

Ideally the succesful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy. In addition some livestock skills, preferably in dairy, would be good, but certainly not essential.

Staff welfare and safety are central to the business and although the role will be a salaried position, the succesful candidate is likely to work no more than 5.5 days per week on average. Accommodation can be provided on site to suit either a single or married applicant with a family.

We welcome both experienced and inexperienced candidates, as training will be provided in key areas, but good machinery skills will be essential.
