Estate Worker / Grounds Maintenance & Operations Manager near Oswestry, Shropshire

Overview:

• The right applicant will be given additional training/certification to get (re)ticketed in relevant skills


• Candidates with the core skills listed below will be given priority

Required: Proven experience with farm machinery (providing tickets/permits, whether current or lapsed):

• Eg: Tractors, diggers, grabs, forks, buckets, loaders, flail, chainharrow, PTO, trailer-hauling, hitches, mowers/mulchers, postknocker, hydraulics


• Plant and machinery related record-keeping, care and maintenance, servicing schedules

Required: Maintenance of grassland:

• Amenity areas, lawns, ornamental grounds care and maintenance


• Required: Mowing, spraying, strimming


• Required: Pasture, field margins topping


• Required: Wood and wire fencing, gates, footpaths, livestock-fencing

Woodlands, forestry/woodcutting:

• Required: Chainsaw experience with ticket (Level 2 Award in Ground Based Chainsaw Operator)


• Optional: Hedgecutting and/or hedgelaying


• Optional: Tree planting, logsplitting, tree-guards

General non-specialised building and property maintenance:

• Use and handling of electrical handtools


• Bulk collection/delivery materials, assisting building teams


• Optional: Groundworks

Water lines, troughs and supplies:

• Water pipes and fittings, livestock drinking troughs


• Pipe connectors, Ts, collars, field pipes


• Optional: Experience with field drainage, ditchline maintenance, sewer or septic tank maintenance
