We cover 2000 acres of cereals, OSR, beans and potatoes outside Ongar in Essex
The position is open for all ages and levels of experience
An interest or experience with crop spraying as well as workshop skills are valued, other roles include cultivation, fertiliser spreading, haulage and destoning.
As a guide retired staff say that they enjoyed the diversity in the jobs they did throughout the year, not committed for extended periods to one farming operation and always with a job to follow on to. All the tractors are modern and most low hours with a policy of keeping tractors and operators together rather than shuffling people around.
We do enjoy our workshop projects, and have extensive facilities far greater than the average farm which generally keep us inside and entertained over winter.
Accommodation is dependent on the successful applicants position, there is a one bed farm flat for a single occupant/couple but there are other housing opportunities within the farm to better suit a family.
Our working hours vary through the year, November to February they are typically 8am-5pm and from March onwards hours push out with core hours being 8am-8pm, with cereal harvest extending later into the night.
The position is more than being sat on a tractor seat, with the workshop, general maintenance and irrigation there is a physical component to the role.
If the position interests you please apply, Thankyou
