Jan 2020-Present - Farm Manager

Managing 380 acres of grassland, a 15 acre vine yard and assisting with 1000 acres of organic arable. Management of the pedigree breeding Red Poll herd, this includes grazing, feeding calving and taking animals all the way through to slaughter. The herd is organic but not yet certified, all practices on the farm follow my interest for regenerative farming.

Jan 2019- Jan 2020 - Farm Manager

Managing a team of 3-5 (seasonal) and organizing all contractors for 380 acre estate, over 3 farms. In charge of day to day running of 1000 head cattle enterprise and set up a contract rearing 4000 Christmas Turkeys. I undertook all land management and ensured farms met compliance requirements.

Jun 2017- Dec 2019 -Assistant Manager

Working on a 1200 outdoor breeding sow unit. Responsibilities including feeding, AI, weaning, litter management and farrowing. Also assisting manager with compliance records and administering medication.

Worked in Australia

April 2015- May 2017 -Assistant Farm Manager

A small holding of 2000 acres that had arable, beef, pork and chicken.This Farm was run alongside a holiday let business, the idea being that the Farm could be self-sufficient and provide for the bed and breakfast side. My roles here were to keep on top of Farm maintenance, fencing, all animal husbandry, preparing animals for slaughter, manage breeding cycle of Aberdeen Angus Herd. Also land management under the guidance of the farm manger including silaging, hay making and straw baling.

Stockman

Worked on a 5000 acre cattle station where everything was finished on farm. Responsibilities where basic animal husbandry, weaning, moving cattle. This role was for one year.

Sept 2010-Feb 2015 - Royal Marines Officer.

Finishing as rank of captain with responsibility of over 80 personnel

Tours included Norway, Belize, Somalia and Afghanistan
