I adapted my skills learnt in previous roles to become an assistant herd manager on a 350-cow dairy unit. Working as a reproductive management specialist learning a variety of farming practice skills, such as administering antibiotics, drying cows off for calving, general overseeing of the milking herd and tractor skills. This taught me to adapt and overcome challenges both on my own and as a team (in challenging situations) and this role further developed my wider skill-set and overall conduct.
