Stock woman with sheep experience
I have a BSc in Animal Behaviour and Training which I got a 2:1 grade

I have experience in using a manitou telehandler for things like mucking out, stacking bales and loading feeders. I have also used toppers, power harrows, hay turners and straw/hay feeders. I have used diggers for mucking out and knocking in fence posts.
I have worked on a sheep farm for almost three years, gaining experience in dagging, foot trimming, bolusing, worming, penning up and moving sheep, administering medication and getting sheep ready for sales.
I also have experience in lambing sheep, assisting in deliveries, adopting lambs, bottle feeding and other lambing duties.
Along this I am skilled in general livestock duties like feeding, bedding down and mucking out.
Recently I have gained experience in moving cattle up and down roads and helping with the race work on TB testing days and pregnancy scanning, along side bedding down and feeding.
My partner who also has similar skills and is looking for the same kind of work at the same place if possible.
Outside of work I spend my time walking our dogs, reading, shooting with my partner, going to agricultural shows and country fairs.
2016-2018 Gaining my BSc (Hons) degree in Animal Behaviour and Training at Moreton Morrell.
Ive spent this time working on a 500 head pedigree sheep farm. During this time I have learnt hands on skills working with sheep. Such as lambing 300 ewes and can bottle feed, adopt lambs, assist in deliveries, tagging, banding and provide general care. I am able to administer routine medication like heptavac and wormer. I can dag and foot trim sheep. Alongside this I have developed skills in moving and handling large groups of sheep to and from fields and through yards to the barn. Carrying out husbandry routines like feeding, mucking out and moving animals.
