Tractor driving - carting to basic cultivations, to hedge cutting and topping/flailing and straw chopper. Drilling experience in Autumn 2022, 2023 and 2024. Have also done a potato planting season on power harrow, bed tiller, bed former and destoner. Range of tractors, including over 200hp. Trailers up to 18T.

ATV Quad bike certificate.

Completed a couple of weeks irrigating and moving potato boxes in the fens during the spring. Plenty of road work on 200+HP tractors.

Completed potato harvest in 2023 and sumo cultivations.

Other livestock experience

Over 10 years livestock experience, working on a large dairy farm primarily as head calf rearer/youngstock manager, later promoted to temporary assistant manager. Very welfare conscious and have exceptional animal husbandry skills. I have complied to the high standards and regulations of a supermarket milk contract, and have implemented strict biosecurity routines.

Also introduced colostrum protocols and vaccination programmes to ensure all calves get the very best start in life and reduce antibiotic usage as much as possible across the herd.

Other duties include, but not limited to : milking + parlour routine / parlour hygiene, safe handling of cattle of all ages, calving, NMR milk recording, vaccinating + safe administration of medicines, herd health, heat observations, data input and record keeping, stock takes, staff management and leadership.

Solo night shepherdess for 1000 indoor lambing mules and suffolks. Spring 2021.

All aspects of animal husbandry from bedding down to cleaning out and disinfecting, to assisting with difficult lambings, wet fosters, bottle feeding / tubing lambs and identifying and treating sick ewes and lambs. Can ring, tail and tag lambs.

Also assisted on odd days with dagging, shearing and then vaccinating, worming and fly treating the ewes and lambs.

Spring 2022. 3 weeks contract lambing 1400 mule ewes indoors. Followed by solo charge around the clock care of a small flock of pedigree sheep, and also checking on a small beef herd with young calves at foot.

Spring 2022. Solo shepherdess responsible for lambing merino sheep 24/7 for 6 weeks. Then stayed on to help out with calving a small start up herd of pedigree shorthorns, and continued to care for the ewes and lambs, and the rest of the wool flock through the spring and into the summer. Including vaccinating, tagging, fly spraying, foot bathing, shearing etc.

Head calf rearer / youngstock manager since 2015. Autumn 2019 - June 2021 was promoted to temporary assistant herd manager, alongside youngstock management duties

March 2021 - Lambing

July 2021 - October 2021 - Harvest Worker on 800 acre regenerative arable farm. From grain cart, to grain store management to telehandler driving and lots of brush and shovel work! Basic machinery maintenance. Also done topping and hedge cutting.

Nov - Dec 2021 + Feb -March 2022 - Kidding and Dairy Goats

March - April 2022 - Lambing

April-July 2022 - Solo farm worker for family farm with merino wool sheep, a start up herd of pedigree shorthorns, and basic tractor and telehandler work. From lambing, to calving, day to day livestock checks and animal husbandry, to tractor work like topping and rolling, and telehandler work for cleaning out sheds, moving hay bales and various tasks with pallet forks.

July - October 2022 - returned to same regenerative arable farm as 2021 for harvest work.

January 2023 - May 2023 - contract lambing on flocks or varying size, both commercial and pedigree.

May 2023 - temporary work on a fen farm - setting up and starting irrigation and moving potato boxes. Plenty of road work with 200+ HP tractors.

June 2023 - Oct 2023 - harvest job on same farm as previous two summers.

Oct 2023 - Nov 2023 - potato harvest in the fens. Variety of tractors of sizes and ages pulling 16 tonne trailers.

Jan 2024 - April 2024 - various contract lambing, including a sheep dairy.

Spring 2024 - potato planting on a bed tiller, bed former and destoner. Muck carting.

Summer 2024 - harvest - 3000 acre farm driving a fastrac and JD 7R. 14T dump trailer and 18T grain trailer. Also did straw turning with rotor rake, pressing and side arm flail.

Moved on to a second farm in Cambridge who I have worked for on and off for 4 years, to help finish their harvest as they had mostly spring crops so a late combining season, then assisted with primary cultivations, cover crop drilling and hedge/ditch cutting.
