I have previously studied Law and Environmental Studies part-time with the Open University, gaining the equivalent of a Certificate of Higher Education level 4.
I was a member of the 2018 Agri Academy run by Farming Connect, I have also taken part in the business bootcamp program and prosper from pasture group also run by Farming Connect.
I have a blue seal wool board shearing certificate, a Lantra telescopic handler certificate and have also completed a first aid at work course in the last two years.
I have been driving tractors from age 16 and am competent driving with a trailer and other attachments on the road. I have a full UK driving license that I have held for the last three years with no points.

I have previously driven modern Claas and New Holland tractors, doing general tractor work. I have driven with large trailers on through towns etc. Power harrowing, rolling, rowing up, mowing, topping, chain harrowing and rolling on the clamp, general tractor work really. I have also spent a lot of time feeding and littering using a straw chopper.
Also have a Lantra telehandler certificate, and have lots of experience operating a modern Claas telehandler.
Two years previous experience on a sheep, beef and poultry farm as well as keeping my own sheep and cattle. Competent in most areas of stock management and handling. Poultry experience on two different laying units both flat deck and multi-tier, both packing eggs and managing hens.

I am currently building up my own agricultural business from home. Currently I supply boxed lamb to several customers locally, I am hoping to expand into beef as well and increase my customer base. I have my own flock of 40+ ewes and small herd of cattle.
•Gained a commercial awareness of the agricultural industry through direct involvement, I am sole trader so all management both practically and financially is my responsibility.
•Developed my creativity, by looking into alternative markets for my produce as well as considering future enterprises.
•Independence, as sole trader I am entirely responsible for the success of the business that has given me a lot of confidence in my own decision making.
•Farm to fork experience, I am passionate about producing high quality food to customers and it gives me great satisfaction knowing exactly what went into producing it.

I balance work on a Beef, Sheep and Poultry farm part-time alongside my academic studies at University.
•Work independently across 2 poultry units to complete all tasks to a high standard following appropriate health and safety.
•Developed a keen eye for detail through monitoring the health and welfare of the Chickens.
•Enhanced my manual dexterity working under pressure to package eggs for sale, both wholesale and retail.
August 2018- September 2020 Farm worker in Dolau
I worked full-time on a sheep, beef, and poultry farm. My day-to-day responsibilities included managing the nutrition of ruminants alongside other tasks such as tractor operations, driving modern Claas and New Holland tractors, looking after the health and wellbeing of the animals and helping with the running of a fat-stock collection centre.

•Measuring and monitoring the performance of the livestock.

September 2017 May 2018 Contract fencer - Powys
I provided practical skills and fencing solutions for a large mixed arable and livestock farm working alongside a more experienced contractor as a team.
•Worked outdoors to complete the physically demanding work of everyday maintenance of fences and estate.
•Working independently and as part of a team constructing fencing solutions
•Developed excellent time management as responsible for managing own workload and hours.
•Problem solving e.g. coming up with tailored solutions to various problems
