I have been living on our 3000 acre family run farm all my life and for the past three harvest I have been working at every opportunity. We have a suckler herd of 75 cows with calves following, so I have experience with cattle handling, feeding and calving. Jobs undertaken on the farm include grain cart, straw cart, loading lorries, stacking straw, topping, grain store work, muck spreading and cultivation as well as a small amount of slurry spreading whilst at collage, all in up to date John Deere tractors ranging from a 7530, 6155r, 6250r, 7290r. For summer 2020, I went to work on a 5000 acre farm to gain more experience in a working environment away from home. While I was there I carried out many of the same jobs that I had done at home, but also helped with digestate spreading using a dribble bar and also got to grips with using a bale stack transporter.
