Farming background

Currently working as an Occupational Therapist for NHS Lothian on a temp contract ending in March. Highly capable of working in a team and alone, excellent communication and organisational skills.

2018-2021 completed 4x indoor lambings and assisted with indoor calving.

2018-2021 assisted with on farm busy days: shearing, weaning calves and lambs, scanning, drenching/yard work, silage, pregnancy testing. Also assisted with general farm work after NHS workday; shifting ewes and cows, assisting with maintenance; cleaning gutters, troughs, setting up/packing down for lambing, filling pot holes, strimming etc.

2019-assisted with an on-farm ram and bull sale;assisted preparing rams, setting up sale ring, assisted with preparing bulls for sale, completed general tasks; weed wiping, sorting lambs, moving stock, yard work, carting hay bales.

2017-worked as a polo groom in England for 6 months followed by working in Finland as an outdoor guide over winter before coming to Scotland for the lambing season.

2015-2016 worked on a dairy farm over the summer in NZ. 60bale rotary working alone and within a team.

I grew up on a hill country sheep and beef farm in NZ therefore assisted with all farm tasks in school summer holidays.
