I feel confident in setting up breaks, and can confidently drive manual jeeps as well as quads and side-by-sides. I have had some experience also driving a two-wheeler around very mountainous terrain where I was working. I have had a little experience in driving tractors and would be confident to learn how to operate the machinery with guidance
During my time spent in NZ I was given the opportunity to work on a variety of different dairy farms and began to gain both my experience and an eager drive to learn more about farming practices. I worked as a relief-milker on a 500-herd dairy farm whilst renting a property in Otorohanga, New Zealand. I was also able to gain experience in drying off the cows in preparation prior to calving, as well as filling the shed for scanning. . I have a passion for working with animals, and appreciate the importance of working under a calm and relaxed tone whilst around the stock, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of both the animals and the staff; to which the manager of the farm I was working on was very impressed with how I was around the stock. I have taken part in shaving tails and helped loading suckler cows into a crush. In addition to this, I also have experience in moving cattle throughout different paddocks on the farm depending on the pasture rotation.

I am a hard working, motivated and driven individual with a keen passion to improve on my knowledge and experience within the agricultural industry. From growing up in the city of Cardiff I never had the opportunity in which to explore farming, however in 2019 I moved across to New Zealand to work and travel before returning 18 months later. I am currently located in Cardiff but would be available to move to another location at any point to start the position.
During my time away I also obtained experience within the horticulture industry, attending to the planting, growing and pruning of Feijoa plants alongside attending to general farm duties, such as spraying weeds and deconstructing fences.
