I have experience with goats (including goat-keeping) and have been involved with drenching, vaccinating and basic elements of husbandry (including hoof-trimming). I'm keen to get involved with kidding and to undertake an AI (cows and goats).

I'm due to get involved with lambing (2021 season) and have been involved with basic elements of lamb husbandry. Including vaccinating.

I'm a goat owner (small herd, x2 golden guernseys) and enjoy devoting my time to them, their care and welfare. I enjoy volunteering with animals to enable me to expand upon my current skills and knowledge. Further, I enjoy travelling, spending time outdoors and watching Our Yorkshire Farm.

February 2017 Farm (Volunteering)

•Working both independently and within groups to ensure that the welfare of the animals within the establishment were being systematised.

•Building on my knowledge and practical experience through expanding on my understanding of different levels of animal welfare and husbandry with essential tasks including feeding, cleaning and remaining aware of The Five Freedoms.

•Volunteering at events, including charity days, and educating visitors with my knowledge surrounding a collection of animal species. Such as small mammals and birds.

•Experience with goat keeping. Im currently beginning a herd of rare breed golden guernseys.

April 2019 Veterinary Practice (Work experience)

•Supported Vets and Vet Nurses while delivering practice to an assortment of species.

•Engaged in general husbandry and welfare tasks.

•Worked to maintain the high cleanliness standards of the veterinary practice.

September 2020 Goat Farm(Volunteering)

•Vaccinating 200 boer goats (kids and yearlings).

•Drenching.

•Hoof trimming.
