Duties carried out included mowing, tedding, raking and baling of grass for silage/hay using modern silage machinery such as Krone, Lely and using modern tractors such as Valtra, Deutz and Massey Ferguson. Spreading of slurry using Major tankers and dumper trailer work with NC dump trailers. Also haulage of round bales using Broughan 24ft trailers.
All the machinery that I used was maintained to a high standard.
The role required:
The ability to be a confident operator with all aspects of machinery.
An ability to learn quickly and take direction efficiently.
The ability to maintain all machinery being used to a high standard.
Being able to work within a tight time frame.
Being able to work as part of a team.
Also have experience operating telehandlers on construction sites, working with brands such as Merlo and JCB.
I have gained this experience from working on our family farm since a young age. Our farm consist of a mix between sheep and beef.
