Experience working with 135hp, 175hp and 215hp tractors and a Manitou loader. Work involved grain carting with a 14-tonne trailer, towing the header and escorting the combine, cultivations using the carrier, rolls, spring tines with JD Green Star guidance system. I also have experience of mowing, turning, and baling throughout the haymaking season.

Other livestock experience

I lambed on a farm in Wales during my first year of study at Harper Adams University which involved moving sheep, castrating, bedding up, vaccinating and tubing lambs. We have 300 ewes on our home farm; we tend to lamb inside. Tasks that I have completed at home include; bottle feeding the cades, foot bathing, worming, drenching, ear tagging, along with other tasks such as injecting when necessary and weighing lambs.

Summer 2020: Harvest student on a 1800 acre arable farm, primarily carting grain and completing cultivations. 2019-2020: Placement year as a Farm and Feed Administrator on a large Beef unit and feed company. Easter 2019: Lambing on a farm in Wales to further experience. Summer 2016: Managed the weighbridge on a farm frontier grain store. 2011-2018: Worked at home on the farm along side my education, we have 300 ewes and 250 acres of grass that we use for haymaking and arable.
