Have been brought up with sheep - am currently working with 1400 ewes plus dry sheep, tack sheep and 30 beef cows. My experience includes : -Electric fencing - fly covering of ewes and lambs

-Helping with shearing, crutching and scanning - Weaning

-Movement of sheep using dogs and loading trailers/lorries - completion of movement licenses

-Indoor and outdoor lambing and having sole charge of 700 outdoor lambing flock

-All husbandry tasks associated with lambing including ringing and tailing, stomach tubing, lamb adoption, orphan lamb rearing - foot trimming -Checking of sheep - ear tagging - ram selection -Drug administration by injection and drenching

- Helping with calves and cows including TB testing, calf rearing, dehorning, bedding up and feeding.

Dairy Experience includes:

-Milking of dairy cows- maintenance of milking equipment

-Dehorning - TB testing -Calving -Calf rearing including stomach tubing, milk and feed calculations, ear tagging, calf hutch care

-Moving of cows and electric fencing - liming of cow cubicles

- fixing water tanks

Farming background

I have been brought up with sheep and after leaving school started an advance level Apprenticeship in Agriculture (C&G Level 3 diploma in Agriculture) which involved day release at Sparsholt college whilst working.

I spent 8 months working part time on a 200 cow dairy farm as an agricultural apprentice as well as part time in sheep but in May 2019 converted purely to sheep farming. This year I had sole charge of 700 ewes for outdoor lambing .

I share farm a small flock of pedigree Hampshire down sheep producing rams for sale.

I have experience of working for a sheep contractor and have helped in the contract work of fencing, drenching etc.

I have trained my own sheep dogs and enjoy working them . I currently have a young collie pup who will start here training once old enough
