I have worked on a mixed farm, primarily caring out their own land work, from harvesting winter feedstuffs, re-seeding pastoral swards, spraying perennial weeds, maintaining and replacing boundary fencing and using telescopic handlers in order to carry out daily farmyard tasks, i.e. feeding/bedding/cleaning-out.

Within my experiences on a Mixed Farm, roles included the general husbandry practices of livestock production which included cattle & sheep.

From overseeing calving/lambing's too coordinating / administration of vaccination and drenching programs, too general Herd / Flock health requirements.

Position in the company Herds Man & Heavy Machinery Operative

Roles include the general husbandry practices of livestock production which included cattle & sheep. Also included using machinery to plant and produce adequate feedstuffs (crops) for the animals during the winter period. Also included construction of buildings and boundary fencing.
