Farming background

I was previously the assistant farm manager at a small 256 acre arable farm in Kent with the majority of the farm concentrating on supplying our farm shop and PYO during the summer and early autumn. We also supplied the local markets with produce for some extra income. From there I moved to a 50 acre farm in Worcester where i honed my skills and broadened my agricultural knowledge managing the brassicas, root crops and mix of apple, pear and plum orchards. Although smaller, the farm gave me a great deal of experience in a much more diverse range of crops. I left Worcester after being offered the opportunity to work for a large herb farm in Norfolk. My main responsibilities were operating the on site herb driers and oversee the production facility as well as harvesting and transporting from field to drier and transporting the finished product to our buyers.
