Management of beef and bobby calves from birth to sale, management of calf collections.
Duties included: assisting with peri-parturient cow management; calving cows, treating cows with milk fever and ketosis, spotting cows close to calving.

Placement Student, organic dairy farm milking 220 Holstein-Friesians
Responsibilities included: full management of rearing replacement heifers from birth to weaning as stated above, also including tagging. Also responsible for relief feeding of dairy cattle and milking.
Duties included: relief milking and TMR feeding, oestrus detection, calving cows, treating sick cows, and other tasks related to the management of the organic dairy herd.
