Although based predominantly in the dairy, I continue to have a keen interest in the farming side of the business and work with the cows at every available opportunity. Milking and scraping up, heat detection, assisting with vet visits etc. Also building maintenance, installation of cubicles, fencing and tractor work as required.

I started my employment with the company as a general operative and progressed to assistant to the head Cheesemaker. Liaising with on-site electrician, fitter and office staff regarding repairs and potential problem areas. Responsible for the majority of clean down procedures and setting up the dairy ready for the next day's production. I am also the nominated mentor for new employees, instructing them in safe working practices and correct procedures.
