Farming background

Night lambing Assistant for a contract shepard. There I became confident with the signs of lambing and when to step in. I got stuck in making up pens, mucking out and checking ewes for milk. I learnt about iodine spraying the lambs, looking after orphan lambs. I helped with a few wet adoptions onto singles too.

I assisted another lambing season last year where I gained experience in tagging, castrating, turning them out onto the field, also creating and updating records of ewes and lambs.

One seasons Wool wrapping for a team of sheerers.

Last year lambed up in the highlands where I was in charge of two Polly tunnels of North Country Cheviots. I went back to cover holiday where I gained experience in foot bathing and general maintenance of the breeding ewes.

I don't mind where I work if some sort of accommodation is available for seasonal work. But a permentant position would need to be located within Suffolk or the surrounding area.
