I have being operating large machinery and working on large dairy farms for many years. I grew up on a dairy farm and have been involved in all aspects from mowing silage to spreading slurry. I take pride in my work and work well in stressful environments and as part of a team. I'm 20 in March.

I have operated modern JCB and Volvo loading shovels and JCB telehandlers feeding animals, stacking bales, loading trailers, cleaning out sheds, moving pallets, filling meal bins etc.

I have milked on many dairy farms from an 8 unit to 30 unit herringbone and 50 unit rotary parlours.

Farming background

Summers of 2016, 2017 and 2020 - Worked on a 400 cow dairy farm as a machinery operator and milker. From zero-grazing, slurry spreading to drawing bales on 34ft trailer through towns and villages.

School work placement September to December 2017- Mechanics helped service tractors and balers.

December 2017- May 2020 (temporary break while I complete my leaving cert) - 440 cow dairy worked as machinery operator, milker and relief milker, training in new staff and taking responsibility of milking quality, hygiene and cow health.

May to June 2020- Milking 220 cows while farmer was away at silage and a relief driver drawing silage and spreading slurry.

January 2021- present -Farm relief operator milking cows and general farm work
