I have recently completed a 6 month period working as a dairy farmer at a farm in Wootten Basset, my daily routine involved sweeping and clearing cattle bedding areas, yard scrapping and milking in the morning and afternoon. Along with general yard work. I also assisted the vet and freeze branding when on site, moved cattle as part of the team and generally communicated any concerns or observations.
I had previously worked a summer season in 2018 on a dairy farm, where I was responsible for looking after calves, scraping the yard and pushing the food up for cows, cleaning the cow cubicles.
Most recently have been doing mostly tractor work mainly topping.

Prior to working in Wootten Bassett I studied motor vehicle at college and as part of that spent some time in placement in garages. I also worked a day a week with my dad doing fencing and strimming, tidying and general labouring work. I have worked at the local chip shop part time for the past 2 years. Since January I have also been working at a centre for disbaled children weekends and over the school holiday, as a casual playworker. I have worked a lot here over the summer period.
