I have done slurry work with 1600-3000 gallon tankers, drawn silage bales, alot of tedding work. I have used JCB 525 telescopic handler on one of the farms I previously worked on and A Massey Ferguson front loader tractor. Tractors I have driven include Massey Ferguson and John Deere tractors.
Herdsman of one farm of 120 cows for 6 years, and another of 250 for 2 years in total (1 year of 250 and 1 year of 150)
I also have done security at Glastonbury Festival in Pilton, UK 3 times now, I will be required to go back when it is on. Other non farm related jobs include working as a laborer for Property Maintenance, making trussed rafters, car wash, couriering and nightclub security in my home town.
Looking for work anywhere in the UK or Ireland and will be ready to go on the 2nd or 3rd of December. I am not looking for full time milking as I'd like to branch out and learn some more outside the milking parlour though I am happy to milk 2-3 days a week. From the North of Ireland, more than willing to travel for the right job. Experience: Previously worked with race horses to a stable of 21 from the age of 11-14/15. I then went on to work on 2 dairy farms, one for 6 years and one for 2. The first farm had 120 Friesian milking in a 10 aside swing-over parlour whilst the second farm had 260 Holstein the first year I was there and 160 the second, milking in a 22 aside swing-over. I very much enjoy working with animals and am able to tell a sick or under the weather animal when I see one. Often I would be asked to point out cows with bad feet or write a list for when the man would come to trim hooves. The owner of one farm went on holiday multiple times for over a week each time and left me to look after things whilst he was away, this included both morning and evening milking, feeding, cleaning/mucking out and I would check over everything before locking the gates at night. I am 22 years old with a full (clean) UK driving license. Driven masseys (up to 40k) and old series john deere from 2140 to 6320. Slurry work with 1600-3000g tankers, bale/soil carting and lots of grass tedding. Also driven JCB telehandler and feeding with keenan mixer-wagon, mainly used to tractor and loader but happy to work in either. Have done other none farm related jobs such as making trussed rafters for houses, festival/nightclub security including working for Glastonbury festival for the last 3 years, laboring on a building site for a friend and his father and couriering for Hermes and also working at a car wash for a few months in the summer. I have good people skills and like to think I'm very easy to get along with and have no problems working either as part of a team or on my own. Ideally I'm looking for beef or sheep farm but anything is considered and would like some contracting work next season. I am very keen to work as well as to learn as much as I possibly can in all aspects of agriculture including getting licenses for machinery. Another point would be accommodation would be needed (for myself only.) Far more than willing to travel.
