Four seasons independent lambing experience. All aspects of husbandry from record keeping to tagging and mothering on orphans. Small amounts of sheep stock work during this time too. Basic drenching and hoof trimming. Relief milking and general farm work on several dairy farms during my college days which then progressed to being a herdsman for 2 years, this time was split between a smaller scale autum block calving grass based unit and a larger scale robotic housed unit. I also undertook a head stockman role for 1000 head of cattle on a wiltshire estate rearing cattle from milk calf to finishing. Currently working as an assistant herdsman.

Family members are/were farm workers and herdman. Four seasons independent lambing experience. 7 years dairy work, including relief milking general farm labour, machinery operations and all aspects of husbandry. Including the independent calving of cows and running of a calf unit. Experience as a Herdman responsible for all aspects of herd health and AI.
