I have extensive farm animal husbandry knowledge having been brought up on my family mixed livestock farm in Somerset and managing my own farm business firstly as a tenant farmer from 2003 to 2008 with 250 acres of grass and 200 store cattle and suckler herd and 300 ewes and lambs and now more latterly base in Suffolk on my wifes family farm currently involved in the production of store lambs, pigs and cattle. I am also share managing a flock of 220 texel x ewes.

2010 to present - self employed, fencing, lambing, general stock husbandry. 2008 - 2010 West Country King - site manager - managing the production of fresh prepped vegetables for whole sale and commercial businesses. Managing the cold store for up to 2500 potatoes.Overseeing a staff of 20 including all health and safety procedure and hazard analysis . 2003-2008 Tennant Farmer Somerset - farming 250 acres of grass with 200 cattle and 300 ewes and lambs. purchasing store cattle for private clients at local agricultural markets. Helping to manage parents 300 acre farm with 250 cattle due to their ill health. 1996 - 2003 Hay & Straw Company - West Country Swede Devon - Fieldsman - responsible for the growing and coordination of harvesting 1000 acres of swede for supermarkets and wholesale. Managing the the farming operation of 150 fat cattle and broiler production of 20,000 free range chickens. 1996 - 1996 - Nurseries Somerset - Production Manager - managing the production and packing of tomatoes for Tesco, Waitrose and the wholesale market (company was taken over hence short term contract) 1990 - Ely - pack house manager - managing several production lines for fresh prepared vegetables in two pack houses, responsible for up to 250 staff, the coordination of production and quality control. Liaising with growers with regard to forecast availability of stock. Monitor and control of purchase of packaging in both pack house sites.
