I originally moved into dairy industry but after 2 years as an assistant herds person The dairy I was employed on was closed down and my herd dispersed. spent 3.5 years on a large intensive vegetable growing estate in Suffolk covering most aspects of general farm work from leading to combining, drilling, spraying and field walking. employed as a farm foreman paternity cover responsible for application of crop protection products. keeping all farm records up to date. analysis of costings to reduce overheads. Agent agronomist. self employed operator of sprayers, combines and pea viners. Stockperson for 320 pedigree luings and 1800 lleyn x ewes. Calving, lambing, daily health and stock checks, working dogs, responsible for all record keeping and breed planning
