Work experience includes helping family milk and get ready for shows, milk recording for CIS and relief milking through Stock 1st. My last relief placement ( w/e 18 Oct) at the Wintersell Herd in Edenbridge, Kent. Have also helped at a farms near Dover &, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, calf rearing, milking and any other routine jobs, ie: TB testing. Currently employed at a farm near Edenbridge milking 2 shifts on a 3 times a day programme in a 20/20 swing over parlour. Milking 260 cows - checking for bulling cows, treating for mastitis and keeping records - and responsible for rearing 40 calves ( including adminstrating any medicine , disbudding and keeping upto date records.) plus duties of cleaning cubicles , scraping up and helping the team when required

I've always had a passion for showing dairy cattle and help my family whenever I can. I love the thrill of winning!! I love spending time with my family , especially my niece and often go shooting with my older brother too.I enjoy cooking and baking. I try and meet up with my friends when we all can! We try and see a film once a month or meet for something to eat...and sometimes catch a local gig if the bands any good. I prefer the countryside to the town and hate shopping! I think my confidence is growing now I've spent time away from home and earning my own money. I cant see myself doing any other job than working on a dairy farm and I would like to think in the future I will have gained enough experience and qualifications to manage a herd myself.
