Stockman for FAI Farms. 07/2023 Present. 1,200 acre regenerative organic beef farm. We are a 100% Pasture fed system. Stock management decisions are based on a comprehensive grazing management plan. I work closely with the farm manager to come up with this 12-month plan. I adapt quickly to changes depending on the situation; for example, when the weather is wet and fields are too water logged to graze. Tasks include daily cattle movements, calving, fence line weaning, making and carting hay, and hedge cutting in winter.

Farm Worker and Park Ranger for a University Centre for Dairy Research. 11/2014 07/2023. Stock work included feeding calves and young stock, bedding up cow yards, checking outside stock and moving to new pasture. Other tasks included stock fencing, chainsawing, ditching, carting straw and hay, telehandler work and working on stewardship projects like laying hedgerows or planting new hedges.

Farm worker in Houghton. 11/2013 11/2014. Working with Organic Longhorn cattle and a flock of grey face mules.
