1997 - 1999 - worked on a mixed farm gaining experience whilst at college

1999 - present - Farm, Hoyland, Barnsley (mixed farm-dairy, beef & Arable)- I am current herds person, currently managing a herd of 200 dairy cows. I have been doing this for approximately 20 years, undertaking all milking, AI, foot trimming, treating sick animals using antibiotics and dealing with all medical records. Also working alongside a nutritionist to put together the right TMR. to get the best out of our milking cows. Alongside all this taking on general farms work bedding, feeding young stock/ beef stock, during Spring and Summer months undertake tractor driving duties if required, helping with silaging, harvesting, muck spreading, corn carting and hedge trimming.
