Just returned from New Zealand on the 19th January 2017 after 4 months working for a contractor , ground work and harvest , discing, land levelling , terra discing, spreading fertiliser, mowing silage with triple mowers and push and pull, baling with lely variable chamber 245, Mchale fusion 2 and 3 plus, bale wrapping individual, loading lorrys and trailers , stacking bales, raking with class 2900, class 3800 4 roto and v rake, silage wagon work pottinger jumbo triaxle, class cargos and Bergman, buckraking silage with John Deere 7230r and front loader with 11ft buckrake, power harrowing 6metre amazon , self propelled class 870 , grass and whole crop, maintenance carrier out daily , greasing, washing , and general repairs all work carried out with modern John Deere tractors 30 series m series r series's 6 to 7 and at the end 8295r, newholland 7series auto command , I have driven modern tractors fendt massey new Holland up to 390 hp, ploughing, tillage work, grassland work ,road work,8 years experience on 360 digger working on home farm and working for other companies. experience driving loading shovels, side mounted cabs and jcb up to 434
I have a life long experience working with suckler cows and calf rearing on home farm and some experience milking cows for neighbouring farmer.
Enjoyed working last year during the harvest and gained valuable experience, very keen to travel and experience more and broaden my knowledge of the farming industry. This is where my passion lies. I am currently living in castle bolton North Yorkshire just outside leyburn and willing to travel

I come from a small farming background on the coast of co down northern Ireland beside Strangford lough, my family farm is a suckler farm and all calves are reared for beef, multiple breeds of cattle served from a charlouis bull and any cow doesn't come on with bull will be artificially inseminated.we also do a small bit of contracting with 2 13 tonne excavators such as drainage and ground works for local farmers along side grassland contracting. all maintenance and repairs is carried out by my unlce who runs a small agricultural engineering business out of the yard , I have also gained a lot of experience working with him over the years. June 2013- September 2013 harvest work on farm in Cambridge 500 acres , mainly grassland operations and tillage, main duties were operating case tractors , baling with welger round baler,mowing with 10ft side mounted lely, tedding 6 rotor,krone twin rotor, loading bales with Merlo telehandler,carting bales 40ft dolly flatbed, wrapping bales with McHale 998, stacking bales, carting dung, feeding small herd of beef cattle, also delivering bales to local livery yards, ploughed 230 acres with 5 furrow reversible fixed board plough, power harrowing 3.5m knevernland, 3 leg suboiler, 12m press rolls, preparing ground to be reseeded, also carted 150 acres of grain ,wheat barley and rape, repairing and servicing machinery and insuring upkeep of machinery. September 2013-october 2014 potatoe growers and distributers Machinery operator digging-Main duties are drawing potatoes with Fendt Tractors alongside a potato harvester and loading lorry with boxes using a Volvo loading shovel , planting- ploughing,grubbing,bed tilling,destoning,maintaining machinery and repairs. November 2014- february 2015 Bio Gas Plant Operator Working 7 days a week. Managing and maintaining the plant, Feeding , Repairs , on call for faults at night and weekends 7 days on 7 days of. , stripping silo-clamp of tyres and plastic, Mixing silage and maize with a Jcb 434 shovel or 535-95 loader, also mixing glycerol through the mix, filling bunker, checking oil levels on compressors,checking oil on 20 cylinder engine and topping up,greasing dissolver and valves, cleaning out cellar , Sucking tank in cellar out with Fendt 820 and 2000 gallon tanker, pumping slurry for tramspread 16metre umbilical system with 280hp john deere engine connected to bowl pump made by tramspread, reeling pipe on and off with tram spread pipe reel, Pumping slurry from lagoon for neighbouring farmer with Fendt 820 and tram spread dodo pump- pumping out effluent tank with same operation into storage tank for plant, General and day to day maintenance of plant and machinery, oil checks, greasing,washing, Filling out daily data sheets for plant, march 2015-june 2015 jds contracts carting silage with new Holland t6080 and 16 tonne kane trailer, washing and maintaining the daily upkeep of machine and trailer , checking oil water greasing machine and trailer, keeping cab and windows clean for perfect vision, needed on Irish roads as gateways and country roads are not growing with the machines. June 2015-october 2015 sports ground contractor main duties were driving a doosan dx140 lcv -3 360 excavator, ground works, digging and setting holes for bolt boxes to bolt floodlights, putting in ducts, inspection chambers, manholes, kerbing, digging out trenches for drainage pipes, covering with tractor and stone cart then levelling with digger, breaking concrete with rock hammer, off loading lorries with jcb telehandler, grading banks , levling out stone , loading dumpers and lorries, stock piling and filling grader. Spent 5 months in New Zealand working for a contractor with 7 series John deeres and 2 2000 class 870 forage harvesters , also silage wagons Bergman and class , I spend most of my season buckraking with 7230r fl and 11ft buckrake , currently working for Adamson contractors in south Cowton but not getting the hours I would like,
