I have worked on both cattle, pig and sheep farms and have a wide range of knowledge and understanding of how to manage Livestock to its best, I was featured in the Best Of Britain section in the Farmers Guardian at my last post.

-managing over 200 longhorns, 200 Hampshire Down sheep and a 100 Middle white pigs.

My passions include showing cattle, where I have won Longhorn bull of the year both in 2017 and 2019 as well as senior heifer of the year in 2019. I have also been named Royal Welsh Stockman of the Year in 2016 along with best newcomer to the Longhorn breed and Stockman of the year 2017 at Henley County Show. I also partake in other hobbies such as snowboarding, social media for farming websites, running, singing, photography and breeding poultry which allows a good work life balance.

Freelance April 2020:

Since April I have been self-employed doing livestock duties to include calving, lambing, TB testing, show prep, tractor work etc. for a number of local farms.

-Livestock manager for a private estate with 200 pedigree Longhorn cattle, a herd of 100 rare breed Middle white pigs and a flock of 200 pedigree Hampshire down sheep.

•Management of the day to day running of the estate to include responsibility of managing two other members of staff and lone working

•All calving, lambing, farrowing and the breeding side of the job was my responsibility along with paperwork, husbandry and finishing the stock for the businesses own Michelin star butchers and restaurant.

•Health plans and giving medications alongside working with vets

•Expansion of the farm and acreage at another site meant redesigning and project managing unused barns for the construction of lambing sheds, open cattle yards and fattening units

•Preparing and showing cattle to a high standard across the country

•Farm hand turned sole stockman working in all aspects of the farm with livestock and sales

•Tractor work, bedding down, topping, mucking out and bale carting

•Upkeep and maintaining a healthy set of 100 Welsh Black beef cattle and 200 store lambs as well as checking growth rates ready to send to the abattoir where meat was sold at the on- site farm shop which I was occasionally in charge of

•Liaising with the public ensuring meat was sold to the highest quality

•Cutting wood from the onsite woods for the house and selling to a glamping company in London as well as fencing, mowing, garden management, building and repair work
