I am currently employed as a full time shepherd on a mixed farm in the Scottish Borders (beef, sheep) I am 22. I have experience in a variety of farm tasks such as cattle husbandry, tractor driving, fencing, dyking and general maintenance etc. I am currently working towards an NVQ in agriculture

Farming background

Worked on a few farms (mixed arable, beef, Poultry, sheep farm and also a hill farm with a large herd of cheviot sheep also a small herd of cows) Tractor driving skills e.g. ploughing, using trailer to cart bales and grain, bedding and feeding trailers. Variety of sheep tasks such as clipping, lambing, dosing and loading. Have used a variety of different farm machinery e.g. Used telescopic loader to load trailers with bales and unload farm deliveries. Worked with cows on a variety of tasks, such as loading into trailers, calving and moving from field to field.
