Responsible for managing the sheep enterprise section of the farm of 1300 breeding ewes plus followers in an outdoor lambing grass fed system. Responsibilities include; day to day flock management, high standard of record keeping using sophisticated specialised software, liaising with inspectors and vets, sourcing and purchasing replacement stock, organising and motivating staff members and contractors e.g. shearers, dippers etc, organising grazing plans and veterinary health plans, growing on youngstock for sale, electric fencing. ATV and telehandler tickets achieved.

Responsible for managing a flock of 2,500 breeding ewes plus young stock in addition to 100 beef cattle and 100 followers. Managed six farm workers during the peak season. Dog handler, national animal welfare trust - Jan 2012 - jan 2014

Managing and operating kennel housing for up to 15 dogs. Responsible for assessing new dog arrivals and establishing a training and care plan. Coordinating effective record keeping, including medical information, diet, weight, behaviour and training progress of animals daily. Introducing potential new owners and familiarising them with the animal. Supporting with dog training and ensuring animal welfare standards were achieved.
