2019 - Present Part-time experience on family farm, 400 sheep (NoE Mules and Texelx) and 80 cattle (dairy heifers and store cattle). Sheep management work including lambing, dosing, vaccinations, dagging, and sorting fat lambs. Milking approx 25 fresh calved heifers each year. Rearing dairy replacement and dairy beef calves on the bucket, with careful attention to detail from colostrum management through to saleable stores and heifers.
2005 - 2019 Part-time experience on family farm, 300 sheep (NoE Mules and Texelx), 120 cattle, and youngstock. Traditional dairy farm on a high welfare contract, alongside selling replacement pedigree Holstein Friesan heifers. Sheep management work including lambing, dosing, vaccinations, dagging, and sorting fat lambs. Milking 90 pedigree Holstein Friesans through a 6 stall abreast milking parlour. Calf rearing experience, including both dairy and beef calves.
