Farming background

My name is Danni and Im a 30-year-old female; I think its safe to say iv not had the best time in life and am still seeking for that place where I finally feel at home out with the animals.

I love being outdoors, especially around animals (cows are a massive soft spot for me). I started working with horses as soon as I could and gained all my qualifications in this, and this soon expanded into sheep and cattle on friends farms at weekends and evenings. From feeding to daily checks, to lambing, calving, TB tests, dehorning, Tagging, Change of turnout and penning. and I think this was the last time I really felt at home and was eager to continue into the farming industry.

This career came to an end when I was a passenger in a car crash and ended up with a serious head injury at the age of 19. I was unable to continue with the pace and the manual work while I recovered, which was one of the hardest decisions Ive ever had to make. I did return to horses but with me being unable to ride for long periods this proved harder than ever to get my career going again. Which is when I turned to bar work / office work.

But enough is enough now and I am longing to be back on the farms.

I am hard working and put my heart into my work to achieve high standards understanding how important the work is, and I am by no means afraid to get my hands dirty and get stuck right in and work the long hours and make sure all the animals are happy.

I was diagnosed with endometriosis just under 2 years ago. But I do not let this stop me and due to my low chances of being able to conceive it has made me realise that it is now or never to find my dream career and find that team I belong in and having the animals around me where they become my family is so important.
