FARM, ASHURST, WEST SUSSEX | GENERAL FARM WORKER & RELIEF MILKER | 2007-2017

• Dairy herd of 240 on a high in high out policy.

GOAT FARM | GENERAL FARM WORKER/TRACTOR DRIVER | 2008-2011

• Goat farm of 800 stock, the farm held a contract with Waitrose and specialised in making their own variation on goats cheese. This meant keeping the terms of the contract to ensure the best standards were met. Key role was as a tractor driver and feeding.

FARM| GENERAL FARM WORKER/STOCK MAN | 2011-2018

• Farming on a 600-acre suckler herd, downland farm with a variation of ground conditions and herd management. 140 calving cows, habitat schemes and driving heavy machinery.

FARM | FARM MANAGER/TREE SURGEON | 2018 PRESENT

• Manage herd of 42 calving suckler cows, responsible for safe running of the farm, upkeep and maintenance, bookeeping, medication, sales and income driving.

• I recently enabled an expansion from 210 acres to 270 acres for permanent pasture and woodland.

• We keep the farm purposefully understocked for the acreage to encourage biodiversity and not overwork the land.

• Manage the farm progressively, using new ideas, schemes and opportunities to learn and develop the farm in a responsible way.
