Tractor License. Quad Bike Ticket. Experience with Telehandler. I am also trained to work with sheep and cattle equipment to include diary milking equipment and prattley handler.
I hold extensive experience managing a flock of 500 sheep at a College Farm, I am confident in my ability to contribute effectively to your team while upholding high standards of animal welfare and stock management. At the College Farm, I was responsible for overseeing a diverse flock of Dorset, Highlanders, Mules, Blackies, and Texel Tups. Over the past six months, I have independently managed the sheep section, taking on tasks such as grazing management, veterinary liaison, medication administration, and stock reporting. This experience has not only strengthened my skills in flock management but also provided me with the opportunity to take full ownership of daily operations. Although I dont currently have my own sheepdogs, I have worked closely with two dogs belonging to others. I was given ample time to develop a working relationship with these dogs and gained practical experience in handling and working them effectively in various situations. Im keen to continue honing my skills with sheepdogs, building on what Ive learned. I have just returned from travelling abroad to Japan, Singapore and New Zealand as part of an agricultural visit and as soon as I am in a position to take on my own working dogs, I will absolutely look to do so.
