Spent past 5 years participating in lambing assisting with difficult lambings. Bottle feeding, adoption, ringing of tails and testicles. Calving mostly dairy cows helping to stitch torn navels after difficult calving including twisted cows as well as breech births. In both instances ensuring the lambs and calves had the best start to life possible. Experience in milking and weighing cattle as well as administering medication when appropriate

2018-2020 - college where was a student but also assisted with lambing and calving periods during my own time to gain valuable experience. Often volunteering over weekends.

Feb 2023-July 2023 - part time worker on mixed farm in Leicestershire where I undertook lambing and calving. As well as feeding/bedding calves and weighing beef cattle and other cattle work. As well as tractor and telehandler work such as muck spreading.

2023-2024 - model farm where I worked full time as a farm worker often working 12hrs+ days cleaning sheds monitoring cows to spot sick or lame animals. Feeding and bedding calves. Lambing as well as calving. Assisting in vet routines. Tractor work such as carting silage bales. Telehandler work such as shifting bales, unloading lorries and vans. Medication administration.
