I have worked in Australia and have direct drilled over 48000 acres made up of wheat, chick peas, barley and oil seed rape in two years. Hold sprayer certificates but havent done much spraying in recent years. Extensive use of matbro, jcb, manitou, and new holland telehandlers, for bale stacking, loading grain, mucking out, bedding up, TMR etc. Slurry and muck spreading. Grain hauling , mowing, raking, tedding silage and hay.

Managed family dairy farm 140 cows, so feeding, milking, grazing, heat detecting, calving, slurry management, fertiliser etc Miller on 1800 cow herd in Australia 50 point rotary 30 welsh sows plus 2 boars and raised all progeny for our butchers shop At one point 1000 poll Dorset ewes ran on Salisbury plain behind electric fencing (Ridley wrapper). Lamb, foot bathing, treating for flies etc all for meat production for the shop and surrounding butchers Holstein x Angus beef unit on dairy farm

Farming background

1995-1996 placement year for uni. Went to Western Australia to a 1000 sow pig unit, where i responsible for mill mixing the feed. Also 5000 acres of arable harvesting. Then moved to the interior where i was employed for drilling, mustering and fencing. Drilled 14000 acres, mustered 8000 merino sheep 1998-2003 family dairy farm. Managed all aspects of the farm and herd sold in 2003 2003-2004 milker on 1800 cow block calving herd in Western Australia, then moved north for drilling, where we planted 24000 acres of crops. Mustered 11000 sheep for shearing 2004 herdsman for 200 cow unit in Dorset, herd sold in 2006 2006 returned to family farm and ran a fencing business, we started a flock of poll Dorset sheep and a small herd of welsh pigs to grow meat for local butcher shops. 2008 asked to open a butchers counter in a local farm shop selling our meat and sourcing local beef and chicken 2008-2015 expanded concessionary counters to three shops in total. 2016- 2023 had own high street butchers shop 2023. Relief milking and tractor driving for local farms
