Other livestock experience

Pulled calves that are large and backwards, dagging sheep, sheep foot trimming, general animal handling, set up sheep and cattle pens, maintain 4 strand barbed wire fence and stock fence, put up stock fencing, electric fencing and done some post and rail.

Currently in Canada working on a 950 cow suckler herd dealing with pedigree Charolais, Galloways and due to start calving the 550 ish Angus crosses

Farming background

Worked for my grandad during the summer from 2018 - 2021 before my grandad died and farm was sold, mainly did hay and straw cart on farm with a bit of topping and mucking out.

2021 - 2024 worked for a 70 cow beef suckler herd with approximately 400 store lambs over winter, large responsibility over the farm and left in charge for a week at a time as boss went on holiday, mainly left alone for regular day to day running of the farm.

2024 Done a season on a tractor driving team carting wheat and barley while also learning greenstar GPS running a topper.

2024 Did a week with a local contractor on maize.

2025 Tanker muck spreading with side discharge spreader.

2025 Canada working on a 950 head suckler herd.
