Case Puma 150 - Most hours spent with a triolet feeder wagon at the busiest up to 14 mixes per day, plenty of slurry mixing and pumping, carting various products from farm to farm using a Broughan silage trailer and using a large Stewart stock box to move livestock from the fields to the fields and from farm to farm plus leading silage.

Calf Rearing :-600 wagyu calves reared a year for the last 5 years, taken from 2 weeks old through to 4 months on continual system i was responsible for

Feeding, vaccinating, dehorning (both individually in a crush and new Zealand style sedating in a group) , castrating, Identifying and treating illness, batching up by size and drawing groups ready to go on to the net stages

Sucklers :- Own small Herd of 15 Angus cows with a Hereford bull very low imput system

i was responsible for the management of the herd everything from putting the bulls out to calving

The Flass : - 4000 head of cattle mix of suckelers and stores all taken through to fat on an intensive system

here i am responsible for part of the herd on the unit i live on this includes checking and identifying illness and i also work on the main unit aswell where along with the head stockman we do everything and everything the cattle need which includes:

routine cattle treatments (pour-on,spot on, dosing, Vaccinating etc)

identifying feet problems and treating/foot bathing

2023- Present -The estate is a 5000 acre farming estate with 3900 beef cattle 1400 sheep plus arable, here i live on a sperate unit from the main farm and am responsible for the 300-400 cattle on this unit which included all the feeding, slurry mixing, administering medicines etc i also work with the main cattle man here with all aspects of cattle jobs plus i cover for the main feeder man every other weekend which involves up to 14 mixes a day

2018 - 2023 - A small farm run with my partner where we reared 600 wagyu calves reared a year for the last 5 years, taken from 2 weeks old through to 4 months on continual system, all needed dehorning 2 sets of vaccinations. we also had a small Suckler herd consisting of 15 Angus cows with a Hereford bull low imput system and 100 Suffolkx ewes with the lambs fattened on a grass based system and 100 sheep.

2015 - 2018 Assistant herdsman - i was responsible for the calves from colostrum through to after weaning and assisting with running the milking shed jobs like gathering the late cows, bedding the cubicles keeping the robotic elements on track and then anything else required from feeding the cows and Zero grazing to helping the shepherds with the sheep and feeding and bedding the store cattle.

2005 - 2015 , Shop manager - country clothing shop selling brands such as barbour, aigle, hunter and joules as shop manager I was responsible for the day to day running of the shop opening up, cashing up, organising staff rota holidays etc i also did all the seasonal clothing buying which is done 12 months in advance.
